My Story
Artificial intelligence didn't replace my creativity. It gave it a voice and restored my opportunity to share it.
The lyrics are still mine. The ideas are still mine. The messages are still mine. The emotions, experiences, and purpose behind every song come from a lifetime of living. AI simply provides the instruments and voices that I could never have afforded to assemble on my own.
Without it, ~ ASCENDANCE wouldn't exist.
A Second Chance at a distant Dream
Music has been part of my life for as long as I can remember.
My grandfather played the banjo. Growing up, there was always a piano inviting curiosity and creativity in our living room. As a young teenager, I received my first electric guitar, and years later, found myself behind a drum kit playing in a local band.
Along the way, I filled notebooks with lyrics, ideas, reflections, and stories that I hoped would someday become songs. Then life happened.
Responsibilities grew. Priorities shifted. Like so many dreams, music was quietly placed on a shelf while I focused on the demands of everyday life. For many years, I assumed those songs would remain unfinished. Then Everything Changed. At sixty years old, I discovered something I never expected.
Every ASCENDANCE song begins with an idea, a message, a story, and lyrics that I wrote. AI helps bring those ideas to life through instrumentation and vocals, allowing me to share music that otherwise would have remained silent.
If a song encourages someone … If it offers hope … If it inspires reflection … If it helps someone through a difficult season … Then it has fulfilled the purpose for which it was created.
Why I'm Open About It?
Some people are skeptical of AI-generated music. I understand that.
New technology often raises important questions, and I respect those conversations. But I also believe every creative tool should ultimately be judged by what it helps people create, not by the tool itself.
A piano doesn't write a song. A guitar doesn't create a melody. A recording studio doesn't invent meaningful lyrics. People do. The same is true here.
Looking Ahead:
Technology gave me a second chance at a dream I thought had passed me by. For that, I'm grateful.
If these songs encourage even one person to keep believing in their own dreams—no matter their age or circumstances—then ASCENDANCE has already accomplished more than I ever imagined.

It is an independent music project built around meaningful songwriting.
Every release begins with a blank page, a lyric, and a desire to create something that leaves the listener stronger than before.
Whether that music reaches you through a stage, a stereo, or a streaming service matters far less to me than what it leaves behind after the final note fades.
